Kyle:You betrayed them!
(Utter Dilence and Disbelief)
Joe Biden:E-excuse me?!
Stan:You just left a vulnerable country at the mercy of tribalistic assholes who managed without any resistance whatsoever to take Kabul.
Joe Biden:You don't understand it is not that simple.Kids like you wouldn't understand complexities of global...
Kyle:What i wouldn't understand!?That you-the government of most powerful and influencual nation in the world took four presidents, thousand strong manpower, trillions of dollars and two fucking decades to replace Taliban with another Taliban.
Joe Biden:Son listen i have done this for our man who spent their lives on foreign soil!
Stan:So you are saying that many people died, became invalid, earned PTSD and sever depression which rendered them and their loved ones any chance to live a normal life for nothing.
Joe Biden:Yes it was liability!
Kyle:Then why the hell didn't you plan extraction properly? You left advanced airplanes, drones and most powerful weapons there at their plates.
You could have done that properly!
Stan:Yeah!
Joe Biden:Boys! Why should we fight and bleed for the people that didn't even bother to fight against their opressiors in the first. Why other nations don't act on their behalf and try to help them, huh!?
Did you ever think of that, huh!?
Kyle:Still i thought YOU could be better than HIM!
The real question is when they do the afghanistan episode, should it just be through allegory and we keep things in south park, or is it time for 'osama bin ladin has farty pants' part 2 where we revisit the doppelganger kids there?
None of these things would make good South Park episodes. They don't really comment on specific American foreign policy issues. "Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants" was more about 9/11 than it was supposed to be about Afghanistan.
"Neo Nazi Rise" They had several years to tackle this and they went with 'White People Renovating Houses'. I don't think it's an issue they're interested in, unfortunately.
"Incels and Anti SJW" would be interesting if they tackled it but it's been a thing for years and it's less trendy than it used to be so just not expecting it at this point. It's certainly the one I would rather see.
@Paladin of Balance Nice fanfic bro, Kyle x Joe Biden I'm guessing?
I agree with you Jonh, it's unfortunate they didn't dig deeper into growth of alt right groups.
Dobby, where the hell did you get idea that i ship Kyle and Joe Biden?
I implied that both Stan and Kyle thought that Joe would be far better alternative than Garrison.
@JohnVMaster "They don't really comment on specific American foreign policy issues" as long it has made it into public discourse, i find they usually have no trouble addressing forign policy stuff. they don't usually take a super woke stance about in either dirrection about it, but they don't usually do that with any issue. south park isn't a political show per se, but it is one that makes good use of current events and things in the cultural zietgiest of the time.
Osama bin ladin has farty pants may have been inspired more by what was going on here at the time, but it went out of its way to depict afghanistan, and the us invasion (which i don't think had even happened yet) and this whole sympathetic afghani perspective.
We also have the iraq war stuff referenced several times with ladder to heaven's WMDs, red sleigh down, i'm a little bit country, and the capture of hussein in christmas in canada. also the death of bin laden in it's a jersey thing, plus we've gotten somali pirates, isis, the ccp, and even costa-rican freedom fighters. I'd say we're nearing 20 years over due for another afghanistan episode.
How should we refer to the kyle x biden ship? Kyden or Bile?
There is no romance between them!
Its implied that Kyle thought that Biden would help America get back at it's tracks after Garrison caring inly about fucking Mexicans and Chinese than to run the country.
@Paladin of Balance i'm afraid that depends on how fragrant kyle's conditioner is.
I think the neo-nazi episode could be interesting because Cartman can have a redemption arc in it as we all know he is innocent and has been manipulated. It is not his fault he is the way that he is.
