What ever happened to Cartmans sister? Yes, Yes, before you say it, I know she was deleted, but why?

I think it would be cute to have a sister for Eric, to see how he would deal with sibling rivalry. They would probably have a relationship similar to Shelly and Stan. But Eric, would be the Shelly of the relationship. If it did happen, what do you think her role in the show would be?
