Wendy Testaburger, is a character which offers a deep and thorough examination of society, and is typically hated by those that exhibit traits of internalized misogyny. Her character is actually VERY complex, and this is something which is often forgotten about in relation to when people speak about her.
You see, I use to be a Wendy hater however this is something which changed as I begun to develop my own critical thinking (however it is totally fine to dislike her and still have some forms of critical thinking). Wendy Cheeseburger is a character which is necessary to the longevity of South Park and she forms a cosmic balance within the universe with her being a counter to the vile Erika Cartman who goes around trying to cause trouble wherever he goes. He's a sexist and embodies everything which the typical Wendy HATER also has.
When we're actually trying to develop an understanding of South Park, we can see that Wendy was actually behind everything. Take Cartman's transformation into what he had become, Wendy was at first pivotal within this whereby she would bully him but during Season 4 the kind Wendy would try to give him a chance during the debate thing around the flag. However, she had noticed that Eric wouldn't change and instead chose to be able to defend the rights of others. She would fight, the brave fight, over issues such as Transphobia and Breast Cancer awareness against her arch nemesis and would continuously win out.
Wendy is truly a brave icon and is someone that we should all strive to be like.
Uhh, if any of y'all would like I could develop a super long character study of Wendy testaburger.
