Welcome to 2021. It's no longer South Park but South ParQ. Our world now has thousands of people believe that Donald Trump is secretly fighting an apocalyptic battle against a cabal of Satanic cannibalistic pedophiles. This is not a joke - QAnon is real. Its adherents are suspicious of the COVID-19 vaccines everyone is clamoring for. What kind of damage are they going to inflict? How far will they go? Who's the boys' teacher - Harrison Yates still, or someone else? How is South ParQ going to fight back? Would any of our current townsfolk be brainwashed into their ridiculous cult?
So many questions unanswered, and all South Park gives us is a ten-second trailer with only text for this hour-long episode. This only raises more question marks. "We will be herd." (Notice the pun). What could that mean?
And that even comes before the question: what is going to happen to President Garrison? Will he be dragged out of the oval office kicking and screaming? Will he return to being a teacher, or engage his army of fanatic followers? If he does return to South ParQ, how are Harrison Yates and PC Principal going to deal with him?
What's going to happen to Randy Marsh and Tegridy Farms? Will they find out he is responsible for the pandemic? Will any of our beloved kids be given the spotlight to shine in this episode?
We can only speculate until we find out in 18 days.
